In the 2nd minute, Blair Metcalf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Amman Towers United's Kris Lister sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chaz Gibbons narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calum Brazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vance Myers kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Kris Lister notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Basildon's Chaz Gibbons. Chaz Gibbons was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Basildon's zone, Walter Blackwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Gibbons came out of the goal and Walter Blackwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Lister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Chaz Gibbons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Walter Blackwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calum Brazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Busby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kris Bean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calum Brazier in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kris Bean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Billy Busby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Billy Busby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kris Lister to make the kick off. Kris Bean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calum Brazier went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Basildon booed when Amman Towers United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Blackwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Billy Busby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amman Towers United's Kris Bean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Busby in the 64th minute of play. Kris Bean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Busby, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Calum Brazier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basildon's supporters rose to their feet, but Calum Brazier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kris Bean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walter Blackwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Chaz Gibbons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, Amman Towers United's Kris Lister made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chaz Gibbons was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Amman Towers United getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Johnny Heath hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Busby in the 89th minute of play forced Amman Towers United's goalkeeper Kris Bean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Amman Towers United's zone, Billy Busby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris Bean came out of the goal and Billy Busby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Amman Towers United had won after a very even match.
