But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliyahu Ben-Tsvi couldn't finish the play. After having played for 11 minutes, Duby Luzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ashquelon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duby Luzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jericho Reshef struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Agron Beer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ashquelon. In the 15th minute, Duby Luzon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Ashquelon's Naftaly Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Massel in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Jericho Reshef managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ashquelon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jericho Reshef was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adiv Raichman hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Ashquelon booed when SC Shomerah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duby Luzon in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agron Beer saved SC Shomerah from getting behind. Duby Luzon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agron Beer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jericho Reshef managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ashquelon's supporters rose to their feet, but Jericho Reshef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agron Beer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Ashquelon played a much better game than SC Shomerah and deserved their victory. The SC Shomerah players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
