An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarji Sagharadze in the 6th minute of play forced Canberra Raiders's goalkeeper Xiao Yuan Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Canberra Raiders's Andrey Mingrelsky got a free kick in the 8th minute. Paata Mamporia's late challenge caught a Canberra Raiders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paata Mamporia helped the player get up and apologised. Xiao Yuan Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nodar Anghelache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Canberra Raiders getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Andrey Mingrelsky hit a great ball. Canberra Raiders's Xiao Yuan Zhen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shota Torotadze in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, FC GAGRA's Paata Mamporia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xiao Yuan Zhen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Nodar Anghelache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xiao Yuan Zhen was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Nodar Anghelache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Xiao Yuan Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nodar Anghelache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canberra Raiders's attentive Bukhuti Kobiashvili managed to snatch the ball when Amiran Tsitsishvili made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Andrey Mingrelsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Amiran Tsitsishvili in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Canberra Raiders's Bukhuti Kobiashvili. Xiao Yuan Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nodar Anghelache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xiao Yuan Zhen came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC GAGRA's Nodar Anghelache. But to his dismay, Nodar Anghelache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tsotne Burduli to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the game Shota Torotadze made a throw-in which Jarji Sagharadze played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarji Sagharadze in the 57th minute of play forced Canberra Raiders's goalkeeper Xiao Yuan Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Canberra Raiders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiriev Milakiev to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Canberra Raiders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shoshita Aragvsky to maneuver through the defense. If Okhoropir Labadze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the game, Andrey Mingrelsky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canberra Raiders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GAGRA the free kick. Andrey Mingrelsky kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Canberra Raiders's Xiao Yuan Zhen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nodar Anghelache in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, FC GAGRA's Liparit Andrzheevskiy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xiao Yuan Zhen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nodar Anghelache in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xiao Yuan Zhen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nodar Anghelache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Xiao Yuan Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play Canberra Raiders's Andrey Mingrelsky was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 82 played minutes Canberra Raiders got a freekick which was hit by Andrey Mingrelsky. Lucjan Walentowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tsotne Burduli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nodar Anghelache struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Xiao Yuan Zhen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC GAGRA. Xiao Yuan Zhen stood somewhat misplaced when Jarji Sagharadze came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 90 minute. In the 98th minute, Jarji Sagharadze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Canberra Raiders fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC GAGRA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
