Zakir Xudadverdiyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Näsib Utanov having to interfere. Arzuman Abdurähmanov charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arzuman Abdurähmanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Xırdalan Birliyi getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Arzuman Abdurähmanov hit a great ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xırdalan Birliyi's goalkeeper Näsib Utanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Xırdalan Birliyi's goal looked a bit too open when Näsib Yusubov came free, but Näsib Utanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Xırdalan Birliyi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Näsib Yusubov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Eldäniz Abdürähimov came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Mavi Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eldäniz Abdürähimov couldn't finish the play. Mavi Academy's Abdulla Ağalarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niyazi Yolçiyev in the 19th minute of play. Zakir Xudadverdiyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Näsib Yusubov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mavi Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a little luck, Xırdalan Birliyi's Näsib Utanov got control of the ball when Näsib Yusubov tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Xırdalan Birliyi getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Arzuman Abdurähmanov hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Mavi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vahim Yaqubov to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Xırdalan Birliyi's Arzuman Abdurähmanov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdulla Ağalarov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Qılman Hüseyinli kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Xırdalan Birliyi's Rämzi Zeynälzadä got a free kick in the 34th minute. Arzuman Abdurähmanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niyazi Yolçiyev kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rämzi Zeynälzadä kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Näsib Yusubov made a kick off. When Näsib Yusubov came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Mavi Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Näsib Yusubov couldn't finish the play. Näsib Utanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Näsib Yusubov in the 55th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Yadigar Alşanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mavi Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xırdalan Birliyi the free kick. In the 61st minute, Yadigar Alşanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Xırdalan Birliyi's Ramiz Babakişiyev got a free kick in the 64th minute. A collision led to Xırdalan Birliyi getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Arzuman Abdurähmanov hit a great ball. Niyazi Yolçiyev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdulla Ağalarov having to make a save. Näsib Yusubov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Näsib Utanov having to interfere. After 79th play minutes Näsib Yusubov shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Näsib Utanov and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 82nd minute of the game, Arzuman Abdurähmanov landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Yadigar Alşanov got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 84th match minute, Mavi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yadigar Alşanov to maneuver through the defense. Qalib Äliyev struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Abdulla Ağalarov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xırdalan Birliyi. After having played for 90 minutes, Zakir Xudadverdiyev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mavi Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zakir Xudadverdiyev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
