After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Yelmar Cäbrayilov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samux AŞ's supporters rose to their feet, but Yelmar Cäbrayilov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ähmäd Bäbirov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hacıbala Qurbanov in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ähmäd Bäbirov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Xanlar ANS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Balay Xudadverdiyev hit a great ball. Yelmar Cäbrayilov hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Balay Xudadverdiyev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cahangir Nadirov. Samux AŞ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Balay Xudadverdiyev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tanriverdi Abdürähimov struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cahangir Nadirov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xanlar ANS. In the 39th minute, Samir Süleymanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cahangir Nadirov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 42nd minute Turxan Babakişiyev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cahangir Nadirov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Yelmar Cäbrayilov came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Samux AŞ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yelmar Cäbrayilov couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Turxan Babakişiyev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
