The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ahmad Reza Shojaei fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wanstead's protests and gave Ahmad Reza Shojaei a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of A.C. Purples booed when Wanstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmad Reza Shojaei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, A.C. Purples's Mehrak Moradian got a free kick in the 6th minute. Zakaria Javaherian was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Purples's zone, Hossein Alviri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kianoosh Khalatbari came out of the goal and Hossein Alviri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hossein Alviri got free with Kianoosh Khalatbari in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, A.C. Purples's goalkeeper Kianoosh Khalatbari had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hossein Alviri. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Purples's goalkeeper Kianoosh Khalatbari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zakaria Javaherian was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.C. Purples's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ferdows Kianian was slow to take the kick. During this time Wanstead's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ferdows Kianian almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.C. Purples's Kianoosh Khalatbari did a great save. Hossein Alviri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kianoosh Khalatbari having to interfere. If Hossein Alviri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 45 in the game by Hossein Alviri from a close distance when the talented Kianoosh Khalatbari managed to make a qualified save. A.C. Purples's players were relieved.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hossein Alviri to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hossein Alviri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kianoosh Khalatbari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hossein Alviri in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Wanstead's goalkeeper Amir Parsa Abdi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tirdad Pashazadeh. Changeez Kazemzadeh hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Wanstead's Amir Parsa Abdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koohyar Artoonian in the 72nd minute of play. Amir Parsa Abdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makan Sanei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 86 minutes on the clock, Ali Reza Sadeghian commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of A.C. Purples booed when Wanstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Reza Sadeghian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, A.C. Purples's Iraj Hasanzadeh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amir Parsa Abdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kianoosh Khalatbari came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Wanstead's Changeez Kazemzadeh. But to his dismay, Changeez Kazemzadeh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wanstead fully deserved thier win.
