AliKhas FC's Ebi Daei got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 played minutes AliKhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Shaya Salehi. Hesam Abpakhshi came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cleobury Mortimer's Omid Ferdowsi Pour. But to his dismay, Omid Ferdowsi Pour quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ebi Daei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jalil Borhani struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Hesam Abpakhshi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cleobury Mortimer. After having played for 22 minutes, Mohsen Bagheri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AliKhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohsen Bagheri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohsen Bagheri during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cleobury Mortimer's Azad Eshkevari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jafar Javaheri in the 37th minute of play. Azad Eshkevari was a little too slow when Mohsen Bagheri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mohsen Bagheri managed to get in a good position for a shot. AliKhas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohsen Bagheri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azad Eshkevari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omid Ferdowsi Pour stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nader Sajjadi might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hesam Abpakhshi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nader Sajjadi ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, AliKhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jalil Borhani came free, but Hesam Abpakhshi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sahand Rahmati fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cleobury Mortimer's protests and gave Sahand Rahmati a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Cleobury Mortimer got a freekick which was hit by Sahand Rahmati. Ebi Daei was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jalil Borhani during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AliKhas FC booed when Cleobury Mortimer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azad Eshkevari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. There was no doubt that AliKhas FC were the better team. AliKhas FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
