The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Lavendon AFC's zone, Rashid Khalatbari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehrab Jahromi came out of the goal and Rashid Khalatbari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Middleton's Afshin Mirzapour got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mahbod Hasheminejad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Mehrab Jahromi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Arzhang Asslibasab put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gilberto Galo. In the 19th minute, Dara Alavi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Middleton's Mahbod Hasheminejad was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 21st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Middleton's Mahbod Hasheminejad in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lavendon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Siamak Kavianpour fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavendon AFC's protests and gave Siamak Kavianpour a yellow card for diving instead. Afshin Mirzapour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siavash Azizi charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siavash Azizi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Lavendon AFC. Majid Razzaghi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gilberto Galo. 2-2. A collision led to Middleton getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Rashid Khalatbari hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Lavendon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Afshin Mirzapour came free, but Mehrab Jahromi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afshin Mirzapour struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mehrab Jahromi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Middleton. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

After 52 played minutes Lavendon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Siamak Kavianpour. With a little luck, Middleton's Gilberto Galo got control of the ball when Arzhang Asslibasab tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reza Fazeli hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Mahbod Hasheminejad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Middleton's Mahbod Hasheminejad in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lavendon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute of the match Rashid Khalatbari shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mehrab Jahromi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mehrab Jahromi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahbod Hasheminejad, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mahbod Hasheminejad in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehrab Jahromi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lavendon AFC's Mehrab Jahromi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahbod Hasheminejad in the 92nd minute of play. Mahbod Hasheminejad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Middleton fully deserved thier win.
