Wellesbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Sufyan Shayan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akif Rafi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nawaz Ahsan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Penzance FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nawaz Ahsan couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Jahangir Shamshad made a precise shot to the right of Mudasser Qureshi. Wellesbourne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alam Khan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wellesbourne's Nadir Kiyani got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Jahangir Shamshad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Sufyan Shayan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akif Rafi having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Aftab Meman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellesbourne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aftab Meman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mubashar Shahrukh kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Sufyan Shayan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akif Rafi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Penzance FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
