Citvata Sailo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for liverpool4life JFT 96. After 10 minutes, Runjeet Daire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the liverpool4life JFT 96 and the SIKKIM AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, liverpool4life JFT 96 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Runjeet Daire to maneuver through the defense. Janacandra Jain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasgun Nijjar in the 12th minute of the match. If Balasubramanyam Sukhija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ajay Shindi during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the match, SIKKIM AFC's goalkeeper Citvata Sailo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ansu Mahmi. Citvata Sailo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balasubramanyam Sukhija in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of SIKKIM AFC booed when liverpool4life JFT 96 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prakash Lyngdoh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, liverpool4life JFT 96's goal looked a bit too open when Rasgun Nijjar came free, but Janacandra Jain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, SIKKIM AFC's goalkeeper Citvata Sailo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ansu Mahmi. If Jairath Takkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Balasubramanyam Sukhija managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. liverpool4life JFT 96's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balasubramanyam Sukhija was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, SIKKIM AFC's Citvata Sailo got control of the ball when Ansu Mahmi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ansu Mahmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Citvata Sailo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Balasubramanyam Sukhija to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ansu Mahmi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Citvata Sailo. SIKKIM AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ansu Mahmi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to liverpool4life JFT 96 getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Balasubramanyam Sukhija hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Jairath Takkar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SIKKIM AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Citvata Sailo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaganjot Arora in the 66th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play liverpool4life JFT 96's Balasubramanyam Sukhija was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 78 played minutes liverpool4life JFT 96 got a freekick which was hit by Balasubramanyam Sukhija. After a defensive mix-up in liverpool4life JFT 96's zone, Rasgun Nijjar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janacandra Jain came out of the goal and Rasgun Nijjar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jairath Takkar came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SIKKIM AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairath Takkar couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute of the match, Rasgun Nijjar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Janacandra Jain saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the SIKKIM AFC defense, Ansu Mahmi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Citvata Sailo. The SIKKIM AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Citvata Sailo should have stopped the shot. liverpool4life JFT 96's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
