Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iksana Sinha in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kuvalyesa Sethi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Advitiya Johar kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Kuvalyesa Sethi was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Iksana Sinha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iksana Sinha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Iksana Sinha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tulsi Kals sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Grimsby's goal looked a bit too open when Iksana Sinha came free, but Kuvalyesa Sethi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Grimsby defense, Tulsi Kals kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kuvalyesa Sethi. The Grimsby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kuvalyesa Sethi should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, HYDERABAD SULTANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agama Sagoo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Indrarajan Marathe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimsby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Indrarajan Marathe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Indrarajan Marathe made a precise shot to the right of Naginderjit Varghese. HYDERABAD SULTANS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Grimsby's Indrarajan Marathe got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Indrarajan Marathe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naginderjit Varghese having to interfere. Indrarajan Marathe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Indrarajan Marathe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Naginderjit Varghese. HYDERABAD SULTANS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Indrarajan Marathe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Tulsi Kals recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iksana Sinha to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tulsi Kals left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HYDERABAD SULTANS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The HYDERABAD SULTANS fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when HYDERABAD SULTANS's Iksana Sinha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kanthamani Shergill hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Advitiya Johar's late challenge caught a HYDERABAD SULTANS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Advitiya Johar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Grimsby getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Advitiya Johar hit a great ball. In the 76th minute of the match Dharmesvara Sangma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kuvalyesa Sethi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tulsi Kals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuvalyesa Sethi having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Grimsby's Indrarajan Marathe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Naginderjit Varghese narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
