In the 5th match minute, Southampton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abhimoda Dhami to maneuver through the defense. Durvarana Dalvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iksuda Sengupta having to interfere. Talvir Shetty hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Iksuda Sengupta was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Durvarana Dalvi. Durvarana Dalvi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Iksuda Sengupta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Durvarana Dalvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iksuda Sengupta having to interfere. A collision led to Southampton United getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Narinderjeet Basra hit a great ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Durvarana Dalvi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southampton United's Iksuda Sengupta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Siddharth Kumar came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Harwich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siddharth Kumar couldn't finish the play. If Durvarana Dalvi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Southampton United booed when Harwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvarana Dalvi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Southampton United's goal looked a bit too open when Durvarana Dalvi came free, but Iksuda Sengupta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Southampton United's zone, Siddharth Kumar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iksuda Sengupta came out of the goal and Siddharth Kumar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Siddharth Kumar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Southampton United's Iksuda Sengupta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avita Lally in the 37th minute of play. Talvir Shetty was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 39 played minutes Southampton United got a freekick which was hit by Talvir Shetty. Harwich's Durvarana Dalvi got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siddharth Kumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iksuda Sengupta having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Southampton United got a freekick which was hit by Narinderjeet Basra. Avita Lally sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Harchanan Takhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Durvarana Dalvi made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Harwich's Durvarana Dalvi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iksuda Sengupta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arhat Patiala struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Iksuda Sengupta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harwich. In the 57th minute, Harchanan Takhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durvarana Dalvi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Abhimoda Dhami fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southampton United's protests and gave Abhimoda Dhami a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Southampton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abhimoda Dhami to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvarana Dalvi in the 70th minute of play forced Southampton United's goalkeeper Iksuda Sengupta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kuvalyesa Sohota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amodin Bhasin having to interfere. Anoop Ojha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amodin Bhasin having to interfere. Southampton United's Iksuda Sengupta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atyantika Sutantar in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Southampton United's Anoop Ojha got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Durvarana Dalvi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iksuda Sengupta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvarana Dalvi in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Durvarana Dalvi made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Southampton United's Iksuda Sengupta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Durvarana Dalvi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harwich's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
