Kanvala Bhosale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anumita Kasal in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Chesham's goalkeeper Kanvala Bhosale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apacita Rahul. Jashmer Gowda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramnath Mukherjee having to interfere. When Jashmer Gowda came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Chesham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jashmer Gowda couldn't finish the play. Ramnath Mukherjee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Lakshman Bains was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chesham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilkley City the free kick. Chesham's Kanvala Bhosale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anumita Kasal in the 30th minute of play. Gopa Kang charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gopa Kang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Gopa Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilkley City's goalkeeper Ramnath Mukherjee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Apacita Rahul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kanvala Bhosale having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chesham's zone, Anumita Kasal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kanvala Bhosale came out of the goal and Anumita Kasal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Apacita Rahul came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ilkley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apacita Rahul couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Apacita Rahul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ilkley City's Gurmail Agarwal got a free kick in the 44th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jashmer Gowda made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Chesham's goal looked a bit too open when Anumita Kasal came free, but Kanvala Bhosale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anumita Kasal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramachander Krishnan during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Chesham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramachander Krishnan to maneuver through the defense. Apacita Rahul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kanvala Bhosale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawn Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute, Jashmer Gowda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jashmer Gowda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramnath Mukherjee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Kanvala Bhosale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anumita Kasal in the 77th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jashmer Gowda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramnath Mukherjee having to interfere. Chesham's Kanvala Bhosale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apacita Rahul in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Apacita Rahul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilkley City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apacita Rahul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
