After some careless play in the Chesham defense, Ahara Rudrappa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kanvala Bhosale. The Chesham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kanvala Bhosale should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Jashmer Gowda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anupriya Mirza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Shawn Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chesham's supporters rose to their feet, but Shawn Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anupriya Mirza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Bengaluru Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jashmer Gowda came free, but Anupriya Mirza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahara Rudrappa to make the kick off. In the 61st match minute, Chesham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lakshman Bains to maneuver through the defense. Jaswant Rao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jashmer Gowda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anupriya Mirza having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Janarajan Virk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Chesham's Jashmer Gowda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anupriya Mirza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 81 minutes into the match, Bengaluru Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Pinto came free, but Anupriya Mirza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bengaluru Football Club's Chaila Atwal got a free kick in the 84th minute. Haramala Chhugani's late challenge caught a Chesham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengaluru Football Club's Anupriya Mirza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jashmer Gowda in the 97th minute of play. Chesham's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
