Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Budhana Lapang made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Power FC's Budhana Lapang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With an all-out effort, Power FC's Narinderpal Deol threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jinda Shah, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th match minute, Power FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Budhana Lapang to maneuver through the defense. Power FC's Kirtita Sen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasantha Rathod in the 13th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Power FC got a freekick which was hit by Kisni Jhuti. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amarajota Jain in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirtita Sen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kirtita Sen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Addana Sodhi in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, NAGALAND FC's goalkeeper Narinderpal Deol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raminder Mishra. Narinderpal Deol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raminder Mishra in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, NAGALAND FC's Biswaroop Pradhan got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes NAGALAND FC got a freekick which was hit by Addana Sodhi. Narinderpal Deol made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Raminder Mishra sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lall Chohan made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Jinda Shah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narinderpal Deol. NAGALAND FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jinda Shah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Power FC's Kirtita Sen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasantha Rathod in the 57th minute of play. Kirtita Sen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lall Chohan in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to NAGALAND FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Paramdesh Ayer hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, NAGALAND FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaritri Vishwakarma came free, but Narinderpal Deol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Power FC's zone, Amarajota Jain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirtita Sen came out of the goal and Amarajota Jain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Biswaroop Pradhan put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, NAGALAND FC's Biswaroop Pradhan got a free kick in the 66th minute. Narinderpal Deol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Budhana Lapang went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 71 played minutes NAGALAND FC got a freekick which was hit by Vasantha Rathod. Narinderpal Deol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raminder Mishra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Vasantha Rathod shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirtita Sen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jinda Shah was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 76 played minutes Power FC got a freekick which was hit by Jinda Shah. If Amarajota Jain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Power FC's Kisni Jhuti got a free kick in the 79th minute. Surajprakash Parmar struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Narinderpal Deol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Power FC. A collision led to NAGALAND FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Vasantha Rathod hit a great ball. Narinderpal Deol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaritri Vishwakarma in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind NAGALAND FC's goalkeeper Narinderpal Deol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
