In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Shadow FC's goalkeeper Kukila Ghai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Shadow FC's Vikrampreet Gopalkrishnan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Avicala Sethi, made in the 7th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, HAMMER's goalkeeper Caruhasan Ghoshal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bishwamba Chaudhari. Devila Biswas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Atamas Dambria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kukila Ghai having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Shadow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Devila Biswas came free, but Kukila Ghai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Anasin Phom in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Shadow FC's Kisni Chaudhary. 32 minutes into the game, Jugala Anand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HAMMER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shadow FC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Jugala Anand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shadow FC's Asvalarana Dhotre shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Caruhasan Ghoshal but with some difficulty. With a little luck, HAMMER's Caruhasan Ghoshal got control of the ball when Bishwamba Chaudhari tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Shadow FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Asvalarana Dhotre hit a great ball. Shadow FC's Kukila Ghai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sridhar Sharma in the 41st minute of play. Devila Biswas scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kukila Ghai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kukila Ghai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devila Biswas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atamas Dambria to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, HAMMER's Sobha Mandal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kukila Ghai. Kukila Ghai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for HAMMER! Caruhasan Ghoshal had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Asvalarana Dhotre's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 62nd match minute, HAMMER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anasin Phom to maneuver through the defense. Caruhasan Ghoshal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abhiru Rekhi in the 63rd minute of the match. Sobha Mandal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Kukila Ghai made a huge save. The supporters of HAMMER booed when Shadow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bishwamba Chaudhari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avijnatagati Dambria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Kukila Ghai made a huge save. Atamas Dambria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kukila Ghai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shadow FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Devila Biswas scored to the left of an out of position Kukila Ghai, making the score, 0-5. In the 83rd minute, Devila Biswas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
