The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sittikon Weerawat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tawatchai Jintana's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Ban Pon Naung's Boonchoo Thonjun got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Tawatchai Jintana notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pattaya City's Sittikon Weerawat. Sittikon Weerawat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tawatchai Jintana in the 17th minute of play forced Pattaya City's goalkeeper Sittikon Weerawat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Boonchoo Thonjun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pattaya City's Sittikon Weerawat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Tawatchai Jintana put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sittikon Weerawat. Sittikon Weerawat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tawatchai Jintana in the 24th minute of the match. Sittikon Weerawat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tawatchai Jintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Parkpoom Yotarit during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ban Pon Naung booed when Pattaya City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Parkpoom Yotarit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sittikon Weerawat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tawatchai Jintana in the 31st minute of the match. Witsanu Thanomnam made a great header on Ban Pon Naung's corner, it was just that Pattaya City's Sittikon Weerawat managed to reach the ball for a save. Sittikon Weerawat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boonchoo Thonjun in the 39th minute of play. If Parkpoom Yotarit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Ban Pon Naung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anan Tanomwong to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tawatchai Jintana in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sittikon Weerawat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes, Anan Tanomwong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ban Pon Naung and the Pattaya City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nititorn Saehui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ban Pon Naung's Boonchoo Thonjun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sittikon Weerawat. That made the score 0-4 after 58 minutes of play. Tawatchai Jintana did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Sittikon Weerawat 61 minutes into the match. Anan Tanomwong kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Ban Pon Naung's Boonchoo Thonjun in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pattaya City's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Pattaya City's Sittikon Weerawat got control of the ball when Tawatchai Jintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tongtana Intidet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ban Pon Naung's supporters rose to their feet, but Tongtana Intidet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sittikon Weerawat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 73rd minute of the match Parkpoom Yotarit completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Parkpoom Yotarit a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Parkpoom Yotarit hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Pattaya City's Nititorn Saehui got a free kick in the 75th minute. The attack was good, but when Tawatchai Jintana in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Tissadee Vorapanitkul got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Boonchoo Thonjun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boonchoo Thonjun struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Sittikon Weerawat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ban Pon Naung. Pattaya City's Sittikon Weerawat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boonchoo Thonjun in the 92nd minute of play. Tawatchai Jintana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sittikon Weerawat having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ban Pon Naung left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pattaya City.
