Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nguyễn Loc kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Manchester Uniteds getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nguyễn Nhật Minh hit a great ball. Nguyễn Tu came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester Uniteds's Phạm Viet. But to his dismay, Phạm Viet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Thai Nguyen's Nguyễn Tu got a free kick in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Phạm Viet put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nguyễn Tu. Bùi Phuoc scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trương Liem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Mai hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thai Nguyen's Nguyễn Tu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Thai Nguyen from getting a goal against them.

Nguyễn Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trương Liem having to interfere. The audience held their breath when Bùi Phuoc in the 65th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Trương Liem's left hand side. Trương Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Loc in the 67th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thai Nguyen's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bùi Phuoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Trương Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Loc was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Thai Nguyen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 86 minutes, Bùi Phuoc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thai Nguyen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bùi Phuoc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Trần Phuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Phuc in the 90th minute of play forced Thai Nguyen's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phạm Viet in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Tu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Bùi Phuoc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Phạm Viet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Manchester Uniteds support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
