Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lê Phuc kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Quang Ngai's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Nhật Minh came free, but Hoàng Minh-ha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Trần Nam fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hoàng Minh-ha, passed just outside the right post. Đỗ Thi kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Trần Nam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vương Ho lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Sprint Athletic:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quang Ngai:s goal. Đỗ Tinh shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Huỳnh Duy might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hoàng Minh-ha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Huỳnh Duy ran back to his position shaking his head. Trần Nhật Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hoàng Minh-ha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Hong Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Duy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hoàng Minh-ha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Đoàn Than took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phan Nam. Phan Nam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Nhật Minh made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Quang Ngai's Nguyễn Hung got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Huỳnh Duy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phan Nam was a little too slow when Nguyễn Hung got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-2. After a rather tough play, Quang Ngai's Đỗ Tinh got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Quang Ngai defense, Trần Nhật Minh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hoàng Minh-ha. The Quang Ngai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hoàng Minh-ha should have stopped the shot. Nguyễn Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Phan Nam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quang Ngai's goalkeeper Hoàng Minh-ha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Huỳnh Duy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hoàng Minh-ha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Nhật Minh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Minh-ha having to interfere. Trần Nhật Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Huỳnh Duy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đoàn Than came free with the goalkeeper in the 99th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Phan Nam could save by the left post.
