Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Trần Chuong took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nguyễn Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Thuy in the 3rd minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Võ Thuy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nguyễn Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nguyễn Quang Thanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hong having to interfere. Nguyễn Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Võ Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Nguyễn Quang Thanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Chung Tuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Phuc. Ba Ria-Vung Tau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chung Tuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 31st minute Trần Chuong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Phuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nguyễn Phuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play, Nam Dinh's Chung Tuan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Phuc was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Trần Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Nguyễn Quang Thanh made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Quang Thanh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Huỳnh Dung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Võ Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hong having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Nguyễn Duc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Ba Ria-Vung Tau's goal looked a bit too open when Chung Tuan came free, but Nguyễn Phuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Võ Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Nam Dinh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Quang Thanh came free, but Nguyễn Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nam Dinh were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Ba Ria-Vung Tau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chung Viet took the corner. After taking down the ball on Nam Dinh's corner Chung Viet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nguyễn Phuc quite easily take care of the ball. Nguyễn Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Quang Thanh in the 86th minute of the match. Võ Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hong having to interfere. The supporters of Ba Ria-Vung Tau booed when Nam Dinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huỳnh Dung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Phuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chung Tuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Nam Dinh were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ba Ria-Vung Tau for a fine match.
