Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hồ Tuyet took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Đoàn Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soc Trang's goalkeeper Nguyễn Lien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Nguyễn Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Lien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hồ Tuyet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Tuyet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đoàn Hung's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Nguyễn Nam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mong Cai's Nguyễn Tuyet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nguyễn Tuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Nam, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Mong Cai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Thanh to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Duong scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Lien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Tuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đoàn Hung in the 25th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Soc Trang's Đoàn Hung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Tuyet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Nguyễn Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Nguyễn Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 45 minutes of play, Soc Trang's Nguyễn Nam made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Tuyet was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nguyễn Nam to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 75th match minute, Soc Trang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mai Nam to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Nam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nguyễn Tuyet, 1-6. When Mai Nam fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soc Trang's protests and gave Mai Nam a yellow card for diving instead. Mai Nam hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Đoàn Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tuyet having to interfere. Nguyễn Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nguyễn Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Nguyễn Nam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Đoàn Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tuyet having to interfere. Soc Trang's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
