With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Van Tai Em in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Bien saved Ngôi Sao Vàng from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Phan Thi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 19 in the game by Phan Thi from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Bien managed to make a qualified save. Ngôi Sao Vàng's players were relieved. With his leg Nguyễn Bien managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Xuân Lôc's Phan Thi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 24th play minutes Phan Thi shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Nguyễn Bien and just under the crossbar into goal. 29 minutes into the game, Trần Khoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ngôi Sao Vàng's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xuân Lôc the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Ngôi Sao Vàng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Khoi to maneuver through the defense. With 32 minutes on the clock, Ngô Tho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xuân Lôc fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Lê Nga had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Lưu Minh-ha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 36th minute, Ngôi Sao Vàng's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nguyễn Minh Phượng fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chung Thi Ngoc might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Bien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chung Thi Ngoc ran back to his position shaking his head. After 40th play minutes Phan Van Tai Em shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Nguyễn Bien and just under the crossbar into goal. Chung Thi Ngoc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Phan Van Tai Em had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lâm Tong to make the kick off. With a little luck, Xuân Lôc's Lê Nga got control of the ball when Triệu Hung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nguyễn Tuyet kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Xuân Lôc's Phan Van Tai Em sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Bien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Van Tai Em in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Bien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ngôi Sao Vàng's Nguyễn Bien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chung Thi Ngoc in the 69th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Ngôi Sao Vàng got a freekick which was hit by Trần Minh-ha. Phan Van Tai Em scored 5-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Bien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Minh Phượng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Bien having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Phan Van Tai Em who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ngôi Sao Vàng's Nguyễn Bien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Xuân Lôc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Phan Van Tai Em received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nguyễn Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Lê Nga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Xuân Lôc had played much better football throughout.
