Trần Liem came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Xuân Lôc's Phan Thi. But to his dismay, Phan Thi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Chau Doc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phan Thi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0.
