After a rather tough play, Lam Dong's Trần Thi got a free kick in the 3rd minute. SLNA FC's Vương Chung couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lam Dong. Bùi Huỳnh hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Lâm Thanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lê Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Võ Lam in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Nam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Trần Thi came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Lam Dong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Thi couldn't finish the play. When Bùi Huỳnh fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lam Dong's protests and gave Bùi Huỳnh a yellow card for diving instead. Bùi Huỳnh kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Trần Hung could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Nam made a huge save. Lê Hong Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Tran having to interfere. Lê Hong Minh hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, SLNA FC's Vương Chung tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Nam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Võ Lam in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Trần Thi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lam Dong fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Lam Dong getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lê Hong Minh hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of SLNA FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lam Dong:s goal. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Lam Dong. Trần Thi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lê Tran. 0-2. When Vương Chung fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SLNA FC's protests and gave Vương Chung a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lâm Thanh was the one to do the kick off. Trần Thi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Lê Hong Minh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lam Dong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SLNA FC the free kick. Nguyễn Nam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Võ Lam in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Lê Thai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lam Dong's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Thai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Tran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lam Dong's Lâm Thanh was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 84th minute, Trần Thi made a precise shot to the right of Lê Tran. SLNA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Trần Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Nam having to interfere. If Võ Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lam Dong's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
