When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Quang made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Thai Binh's zone, Nguyễn Quang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Thanh came out of the goal and Nguyễn Quang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Quang was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. The Cong MZT's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nguyễn Quang struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Nguyễn Thanh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Cong MZT. Phan Minh-ha charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phan Minh-ha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Phan Minh-ha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thai Binh's Nguyễn Thanh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Thai Binh from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd match minute, Thai Binh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đỗ Dung to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Quang's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Nguyễn Thanh skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 97th minute, Nguyễn Than hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Cong MZT were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
