After a defensive mix-up in Milnrow AFC's zone, Haziq Politiek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Chai came out of the goal and Haziq Politiek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Milnrow AFC's Lamar Lim got a free kick in the 4th minute. Bakar Chandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Lim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milnrow AFC's Joel Chai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haziq Politiek in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Milnrow AFC's Azly Tan got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute Lamar Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bakar Chandran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milnrow AFC's Anil Leng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Asiz Nair, made in the 17th minute of the game. After 18 played minutes Putney Sport got a freekick which was hit by Felix Namasivayam. In the 27th minute of the match, Haziq Politiek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel Chai saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Asiz Nair made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Namasivayam immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Milnrow AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Azly Tan hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Azly Tan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milnrow AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putney Sport the free kick. A collision led to Milnrow AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Azly Tan hit a great ball. Bakar Chandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Lim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes of play Milnrow AFC's Azly Tan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Muhammad Teo to strike the kick off in the second half. Milnrow AFC's Joel Chai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haziq Politiek in the 54th minute of play. Bakar Chandran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamar Lim, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to Milnrow AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lamar Lim hit a great ball. Joel Chai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammad Teo in the 79th minute of the match. Farhan Politiek hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Putney Sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Ning to maneuver through the defense.
