In the 4th minute, Gabriel Ning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haziq Swee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Muhammad Teo in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Holton-le-Clay AFC's Ron Wah got a free kick in the 9th minute. Muhammad Teo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haziq Swee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muhammad Teo ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Haziq Swee managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Putney Sport's Muhammad Teo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ron Wah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bakar Chandran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Haziq Politiek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Haziq Swee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerry Ramachandran during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Jerry Ramachandran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Faiz Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holton-le-Clay AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faiz Singh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bakar Chandran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Ramachandran in the 31st minute of play forced Putney Sport's goalkeeper Bakar Chandran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Holton-le-Clay AFC's Faiz Singh in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Putney Sport's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute Muhammad Teo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haziq Swee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haziq Swee stood somewhat misplaced when Muhammad Teo came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faiz Singh was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Putney Sport's Muhammad Teo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haziq Swee was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Jerry Ramachandran took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Bakar Chandran to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muhammad Teo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haziq Swee saved Holton-le-Clay AFC from getting behind. Muhammad Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Swee having to interfere. Arif Hui hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Haziq Swee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammad Teo in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Muhammad Teo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holton-le-Clay AFC's Haziq Swee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Putney Sport fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Putney Sport's Muhammad Teo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Haziq Swee didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Putney Sport's Muhammad Teo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Muhammad Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Holton-le-Clay AFC's Haziq Swee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Teo in the 86th minute of play. Muhammad Teo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haziq Swee. Haziq Swee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The audience was convinced that Muhammad Teo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haziq Swee was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Muhammad Teo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haziq Swee prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
