The audience thought a goal was coming when Deivid Pereira got free with Iskandar Liang in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Woodley FC's Iskandar Liang got control of the ball when Deivid Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 minutes, Alam Lim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woodley FC and the Chichester team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Woodley FC's Alam Lim got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Afiz Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Woodley FC's Arif Yip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wong Tioe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Deivid Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iskandar Liang having to make a save. 35 minutes into the game, Afiz Lam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chichester team the free kick. The supporters of Chichester team booed when Woodley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afiz Lam didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Afiz Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khairil Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match Ali Chan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wong Tioe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 47 played minutes Chichester team got a freekick which was hit by Iskandar Tian. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arif Yip during the 49th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 49th match minute, Woodley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Yip to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arif Yip to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Arif Yip took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Wong Tioe to make any attempt to save it. Afiz Lam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Woodley FC's Afiz Lam got a free kick in the 75th minute. Iskandar Liang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Pillai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Alam Lim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Woodley FC booed when Chichester team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamir Seng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iskandar Liang having to interfere. Iskandar Liang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asiz Pillai, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute Asiz Pillai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iskandar Liang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Woodley FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
