To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Laycock in the 22nd minute of play forced Chichester team's goalkeeper Wong Tioe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chichester team's Wong Tioe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Chichester team from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Nicholas Chee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Chichester team's goalkeeper Wong Tioe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Laycock. Nicholas Chee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wong Tioe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shukrie Teo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicholas Chee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Wong Tioe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chichester team getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Iskandar Tian hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamir Seng during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deivid Pereira to make the kick off. Hidayat Butcher was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deivid Pereira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Hidayat Butcher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Preston City's Hidayat Butcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Pillai in the 71st minute of play. Deivid Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. Wong Tioe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Chee in the 85th minute of play. Wong Tioe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shukrie Teo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Preston City getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Nicholas Chee hit a great ball. The Preston City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chichester team's performance. The match ended with a win for Chichester team.
