Iskandar Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anil Shyan in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Arif Yip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Yip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Woodley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iskandar Hock to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Royal Gunners FC's Anil Shyan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iskandar Liang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Woodley FC's Iskandar Hock got a free kick in the 13th minute. Iskandar Liang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anil Shyan went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Iskandar Liang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anil Shyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iskandar Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anil Shyan in the 20th minute of play. Zack Ramachandran hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Anil Shyan made a precise shot to the right of Iskandar Liang. Woodley FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Anil Shyan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iskandar Liang was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Iskandar Liang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sarb Hongyi's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The supporters of Royal Gunners FC booed when Woodley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shahron Paine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iskandar Liang was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anil Shyan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 43 minute of play. Danish Chian struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Iskandar Liang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Gunners FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anil Shyan to strike the kick off in the second half. Sarb Hongyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Iskandar Liang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Woodley FC's Firdauz Chee suffered a sore thigh after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Royal Gunners FC's Anil Shyan got a free kick in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Woodley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anil Shyan came free, but Iskandar Liang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronn Dhanabalan struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Iskandar Liang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Gunners FC. 64 minutes into the match, Afiz Lam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aziz Hsin, 4-1. Woodley FC's Iskandar Liang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anil Shyan in the 71st minute of play. Iskandar Liang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anil Shyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, Woodley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iskandar Hock to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Anil Shyan notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Woodley FC's Iskandar Liang. Iskandar Liang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Sarb Hongyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal Gunners FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sarb Hongyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iskandar Liang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afiz Lam hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Aziz Hsin made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Afiz Lam sent off a good shot on target. Iskandar Liang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anil Shyan's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Wei Xuan Namasivayam took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iskandar Liang. Iskandar Liang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Iskandar Liang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anil Shyan went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. After 95 played minutes Royal Gunners FC got a freekick which was hit by Shah Hsin. There was no doubt that Royal Gunners FC were the better team. Royal Gunners FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
