Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fakenham's Azam Chong started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hamir Teo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Hidayat Butcher made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Hamir Teo sent off a good shot on target. When Merlin Chandran fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Preston City's protests and gave Merlin Chandran a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Preston City got a freekick which was hit by Merlin Chandran. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamir Teo got free with Hidayat Butcher in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Hidayat Siang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fakenham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With an all-out effort, Fakenham's Hidayat Butcher threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Azam Chong, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Shukrie Teo scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicholas Phua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nicholas Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Butcher was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sharizan Chian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. Hidayat Butcher made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Hamir Teo sent off a good shot on target. Hidayat Butcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azam Chong in the 34th minute of play. Nicholas Laycock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicholas Phua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicholas Laycock was the one to do the kick off. Nicholas Chee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicholas Phua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Hidayat Butcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamir Teo in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Fakenham's Nicholas Phua got control of the ball when Nicholas Chee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hidayat Butcher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamir Teo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Nicholas Laycock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicholas Phua. Nicholas Laycock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Hidayat Butcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamir Teo in the 71st minute of the match. Hidayat Butcher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sharizan Chian went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the game, Fakenham's Azam Chong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hidayat Butcher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. In the 85th match minute, Preston City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shukrie Teo to maneuver through the defense. Preston City's Hidayat Butcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azam Dryburgh in the 87th minute of play. Nicholas Laycock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nicholas Phua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Fakenham were the better team. Fakenham's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
