Wei Xuan Chian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ong Pillai made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Wei Xuan Chian sent off a good shot on target. When Tan Ee fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shelfield United's protests and gave Tan Ee a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute of the match Steven Chuan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ong Pillai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wei Xuan Chian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ong Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Wei Xuan Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bexhill on Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wei Xuan Chian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Bexhill on Sea got a freekick which was hit by Faizal Henderson. Ryan Ee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rifki Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bexhill on Sea's Amir Butcher got a free kick in the 27th minute. Wei Xuan Chians short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Ong Pillai to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amir Singh's late challenge caught a Shelfield United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amir Singh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Bexhill on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amir Singh to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arif Nair made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Arif Nair managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shelfield United's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Nair was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Bexhill on Sea's zone, Ryan Ee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rifki Seng came out of the goal and Ryan Ee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Alex Shyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shelfield United's Ong Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afiq Phua in the 63rd minute of play. Afiq Phua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ong Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Shelfield United defense, Wei Xuan Chian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ong Pillai. The Shelfield United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ong Pillai should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Wei Xuan Chian notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Shelfield United's Ong Pillai. Ong Pillai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arif Nair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afiq Phua in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ong Pillai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Shelfield United booed when Bexhill on Sea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wei Xuan Chian didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Faizal Henderson fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
