Daniz Wenyong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 played minutes Sheringham United got a freekick which was hit by Steven Ee. After a rather tough play, Wythenshaw's Ali Hock got a free kick in the 11th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Sheringham United's goal looked a bit too open when Faizal Koh came free, but Steven Hongyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven Hongyi was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Victor Nair capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victor Nair really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Sheringham United's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Nair came free, but Steven Hongyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Khairil Ching in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Wythenshaw's Faizal Koh. Daniz Wenyong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Sheringham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sajeev Swee to maneuver through the defense. Steven Hongyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Nair in the 33rd minute of the match. Daniz Wenyong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victor Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sajeev Swee to make the kick off. When Faizal Koh came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Wythenshaw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faizal Koh couldn't finish the play. Steven Hongyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Nair in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sheringham United's zone, Daniz Wenyong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Hongyi came out of the goal and Daniz Wenyong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ong Chuan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Faizal Koh almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sheringham United's Steven Hongyi did a great save. In the 74th minute Victor Nair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Hongyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steven Hongyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Nair, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Victor Nair came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Wythenshaw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Nair couldn't finish the play. In the 88th match minute, Sheringham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Ee to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Wythenshaw got a freekick which was hit by Ali Hock. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wythenshaw had played much better football throughout.
