Barmby on the Marsh
Spectators: 6837 (Terracing: 5222, Seating: 1555, VIP seats: 60) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ryan Tan started the match with the kick off. Tan Nagasaki's late challenge caught a Long Lawford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tan Nagasaki helped the player get up and apologised. Tan Nagasaki kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Long Lawford's SK Choy in action when he in the 4th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Zack Abdul took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mohammad Boon. Mohammad Boon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zack Abdul in the 11th minute of play forced Barmby on the Marsh's goalkeeper Mohammad Boon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammad Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from SK Choy, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Wong Low in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Barmby on the Marsh's Anil Tan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Tan got free with Alan Tee in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Chong in the 20th minute of play forced Barmby on the Marsh's goalkeeper Mohammad Boon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zack Abdul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mohammad Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammad Boon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zack Abdul's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When Zack Abdul came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Long Lawford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zack Abdul couldn't finish the play. Zack Abdul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mohammad Boon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Long Lawford's SK Choy got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zack Abdul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jerry Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Boon having to interfere. Mohammad Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Abdul, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Barmby on the Marsh's goal looked a bit too open when Zack Abdul came free, but Mohammad Boon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barmby on the Marsh's Mohammad Boon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Barmby on the Marsh from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Long Lawford booed when Barmby on the Marsh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anil Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anil Tan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alan Tee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zack Abdul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barmby on the Marsh's zone, Zack Abdul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Boon came out of the goal and Zack Abdul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zack Abdul in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammad Boon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zack Abdul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Boon having to interfere. Mohammad Boon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Abdul in the 78th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Mohammad Boon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. John Hsin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
