The referee showed Albert Henderson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Albert Henderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zack Hong's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bakar Tuan firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Chian in the 10th minute of play forced Bendemeer Mariners FC's goalkeeper Zafran Butcher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zack Hong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bakar Tuan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Shahiran Hee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bendemeer Mariners FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shahiran Hee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bakar Tuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shahiran Hee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bakar Tuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Chian in the 24th minute of play forced Bendemeer Mariners FC's goalkeeper Zafran Butcher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zack Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zack Hong might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bakar Tuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zack Hong ran back to his position shaking his head. Lamar Yang hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shahiran Hee in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bakar Tuan saved Wrea Green from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shahiran Hee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Gabriel Teo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bakar Tuan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Shahiran Hee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bakar Tuan having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Ryan Gopala Pillai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ryan Gopala Pillai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Clive Seng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Ryan Gopala Pillai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wrea Green's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Gopala Pillai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zafran Butcher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zack Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Wrea Green's Lamar Yang got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Bendemeer Mariners FC's Gabriel Teo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bakar Tuan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bendemeer Mariners FC reached it. Clive Chian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Bendemeer Mariners FC's goalkeeper Zafran Butcher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clive Chian. Clive Chian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zafran Butcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Bendemeer Mariners FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Gopala Pillai came free, but Zafran Butcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
