Khairul Liang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sharizan Siang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryan Tan went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jonathan Chian took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sharizan Siang. Sharizan Siang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Darren Swee came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Southwold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darren Swee couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the game, Daniz Wah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sharizan Siang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

With a little luck, Southwold's Sharizan Siang got control of the ball when Rudy Tuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Southwold's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Tan came free, but Sharizan Siang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jithu Lee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Darren Swee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Shahron Chandran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ipplepen United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
