Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1480, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dale Hong started the match with the kick off. Ron Au showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Hong in the 4th minute of the match. Alif Abdul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Seng, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Lion City Sailors's Sharizan Chew got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Steven Seng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alif Abdul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alam Boon charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alam Boon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alam Boon kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Dale Hong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Au having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Danish Nagasaki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ron Au. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th minute Sean Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alif Abdul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Famih Chuan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alif Abdul skillfully saved the ball. Asiz Wenyong's late challenge caught a Ken FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asiz Wenyong helped the player get up and apologised. Asiz Wenyong kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Azly Teo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion City Sailors's Alif Abdul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Azly Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alif Abdul having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Lion City Sailors's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Seng came free, but Alif Abdul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alif Abdul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azly Teo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dale Hong in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ron Au prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ron Au took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jithu Tan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Ken FC's goalkeeper Ron Au had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noh Hui. Dale Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Lion City Sailors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ang Paine to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Azly Teo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ken FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azly Teo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ken FC's Ron Au proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ken FC from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Fariz Ning had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alif Abdul. Lion City Sailors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fariz Ning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Azly Teo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Hong in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Au saved Ken FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ken FC's Azly Teo got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Noh Hui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Au saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Ken FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Tan came free, but Ron Au reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Lion City Sailors's Noh Hui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ron Au narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Asiz Wenyong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ang Paine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ron Au tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Seng took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alif Abdul. Alif Abdul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Noh Hui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ron Au tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ron Au made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jithu Tan in the 78th minute of play. If Jithu Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ken FC's Famih Chuan got a free kick in the 87th minute. Lion City Sailors's Asiz Wenyong got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Noh Hui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ken FC's zone, Asiz Wenyong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Au came out of the goal and Asiz Wenyong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ken FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Lion City Sailors's much stronger midfield.
