Watlington's Afiq Keng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fariz Ning in the 5th minute of play. After 6 played minutes Watlington got a freekick which was hit by Mark Boon. Ken FC's Faris Ching played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zafran Phua in the 10th minute of play. After 11 minutes Ken FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Keng who took care of the corner kick. 12 minutes into the match, Alex Keng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faris Ching. Ken FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Keng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Afiq Keng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fariz Ning in the 16th minute of the match. Afiq Keng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Yi-Sheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Zafran Phua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faris Ching was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fariz Ning in the 26th minute of play forced Watlington's goalkeeper Afiq Keng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faris Ching made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Boon in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Keng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ken FC's Faris Ching played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zafran Phua in the 51st minute of play. Faris Ching showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Keng, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Keng in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faris Ching prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 62 played minutes Ken FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Yi-Sheng. After having played for 63 minutes, Alif Lee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Watlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alif Lee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Asiz Tan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ken FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Watlington the free kick. A collision led to Ken FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Asiz Tan hit a great ball. Ron Au hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Alex Keng was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 72nd match minute, Watlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamar Sum to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Watlington's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Yi-Sheng came free, but Afiq Keng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zafran Phua in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faris Ching, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ken FC's zone, Alif Lee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faris Ching came out of the goal and Alif Lee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Watlington's Mark Boon got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zafran Phua got free with Faris Ching in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Watlington's Zafran Phua got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Alex Keng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Alif Lee scored to the left of an out of position Faris Ching, making the score, 1-2. Mark Boon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Watlington's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Tian came free, but Afiq Keng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zafran Phuas short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Faris Ching to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
