Faiz Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lamar Tuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aziz Singh's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Lamar Tuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aziz Singh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aziz Singh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Runcorn AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zack Tian was slow to take the kick. During this time Beancurd FC's players had a chance to rest. Lamar Tuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Sim in the 32nd minute of play. Farhan Au charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Farhan Au the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Farhan Au hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Dale Sim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lamar Tuan having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Farhan Au hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Beancurd FC's Farhan Au got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Beancurd FC's zone, Noh Ramachandran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Tuan came out of the goal and Noh Ramachandran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Beancurd FC's John Tan got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Sim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lamar Tuan came out and tried to block the shot, but Dale Sim slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Beancurd FC's zone, Aziz Singh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Tuan came out of the goal and Aziz Singh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dale Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamar Tuan having to interfere. Beancurd FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dale Sim 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 73rd minute, Aziz Singh made a precise shot to the right of Lamar Tuan. Beancurd FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 77th minute Dale Sim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamar Tuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Zack Tian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beancurd FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zack Tian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faiz Shiong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
