The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Wong Hongyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Prime Chan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ning was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Revengers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Warer City:s goal. Rudy Pillai came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gabriel Yang could save by the left post. After 9 played minutes Warer City got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Pieng. The supporters of Revengers booed when Warer City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Pillai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Prime Chan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ning came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Revengers's Prime Chan. But to his dismay, Prime Chan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Wong Hongyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ning was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Warer City's Jonathan Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wong Hongyi in the 20th minute of play. Jonathan Ning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shahron Vijiaratnam in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 minutes, Bryan Chuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Revengers and the Warer City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Revengers got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Chuan. The audience was convinced that Wong Hongyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ning was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Shahron Vijiaratnam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warer City's Jonathan Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wong Hongyi in the 32nd minute of play. Prime Chan struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jonathan Ning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Revengers. In the 36th minute, Anil Siong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anil Siong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Wong Hongyi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonathan Ning was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Revengers getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bryan Chuan hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Warer City's Shah Boon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Yang. Gabriel Yang yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Jonathan Ning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prime Chan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Shahiran Gopala Pillai made the kick off in the second half. Prime Chan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wong Hongyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Shahron Vijiaratnam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ning having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Revengers's Anil Siong got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Merlin Gopala Pillai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, Warer City's goalkeeper Jonathan Ning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anil Siong. After 66 minutes of play, Revengers's Wong Hongyi made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ning was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ning made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prime Chan in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Revengers's Shahron Vijiaratnam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ning narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Warer City's Jonathan Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anil Siong in the 78th minute of play. Shahron Vijiaratnam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shahron Vijiaratnam got free with Jonathan Ning in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wong Hongyi in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ning saved Warer City from getting behind. Anil Siong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ning having to make a save. 2-6 became the score in the 88th minute when Shahron Vijiaratnam elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jonathan Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wong Hongyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Merlin Gopala Pillai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Revengers's supporters rose to their feet, but Merlin Gopala Pillai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ning was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Prime Chan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 97 minute of play. Revengers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
