United City's Isaac Pecson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 20th minute, Felix Monfort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Napakatalino NRH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Palugod to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Ponyong Galacio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eddie Lumbang. Ponyong Galacio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 38 played minutes Napakatalino NRH got a freekick which was hit by Noli Gutilban. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noli Gutilban in the 40th minute of play forced United City's goalkeeper Eddie Lumbang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, one of United City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cherry Yuson to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, United City's goal looked a bit too open when Ponyong Galacio came free, but Eddie Lumbang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Noli Gutilban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddie Lumbang was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of United City booed when Napakatalino NRH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noli Gutilban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddie Lumbang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponyong Galacio in the 63rd minute of play. Noli Gutilban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Lumbang having to interfere. Felix Monfort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddie Lumbang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noli Gutilban in the 78th minute of play. United City's Cherry Yuson got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Napakatalino NRH made a substitution. Luzvimindo Maybituin replaced Edsa Paraoan. If Noli Gutilban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Lumbang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponyong Galacio in the 90th minute of the match. Isaac Pecson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
