Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jeremias Songco took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grimsby Town FC's zone, Jeremias Songco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dogong Cusi came out of the goal and Jeremias Songco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dogong Cusi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Macaraat, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Tagalog United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Harrison Paludipan hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Mike Albano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dogong Cusi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Songco in the 16th minute of play. Pedro Macaraat took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dogong Cusi. Dogong Cusi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Tagalog United defense, Feliciano Taasan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alva Jocson. The Tagalog United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alva Jocson should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Jeremias Songco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dogong Cusi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alva Jocson came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Grimsby Town FC's Marshall Ruffy. But to his dismay, Marshall Ruffy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 37th minute, Rizalino Daranciang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Grimsby Town FC's Mike Albano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marshall Ruffy made the kick off in the second half. Jim Malabuyo's late challenge caught a Tagalog United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jim Malabuyo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tagalog United booed when Grimsby Town FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Malabuyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Tagalog United's Jeremias Songco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dogong Cusi. Dogong Cusi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Tagalog United's Alva Jocson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Allado in the 58th minute of play. Alva Jocson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Ruffy in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grimsby Town FC's Feliciano Taasan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Adam Allado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alva Jocson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Ruffy in the 78th minute of play. Dogong Cusi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Macaraat in the 81st minute of play. Dogong Cusi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bugoy Tabug in the 91st minute of the match. Grimsby Town FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
