The crowd rose to their feet as Archie Balabagan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cecil Quiambaw. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. Tol Paulin scored 1-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bayan Bonzon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clarence Pumaren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cecil Quiambaw firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 10 minutes of play, F.C. Cagayan Academy's Bartoleme Mazmela made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bayan Bonzon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the game, Patrick Golez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Cagayan Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kyoto Sanga F.C. the free kick. Patrick Golez kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tol Paulin in the 22nd minute of play forced Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s goalkeeper Bayan Bonzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Archie Balabagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecil Quiambaw having to interfere. Cecil Quiambaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clarence Pumaren in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 33rd minute of play forced F.C. Cagayan Academy's goalkeeper Cecil Quiambaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecil Quiambaw made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Clarence Pumaren sent off a good shot on target. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Bayan Bonzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tol Paulin in the 45th minute of play.

The wind increased when Tol Paulin made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cagayan Academy's protests and gave Tol Paulin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kyoto Sanga F.C. booed when F.C. Cagayan Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tol Paulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Tondo Ganzon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tol Paulin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Bayan Bonzon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Charlie Arong made a precise shot to the right of Cecil Quiambaw. F.C. Cagayan Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Bartoleme Mazmela got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Bayan Bonzon got control of the ball when Bartoleme Mazmela tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tol Paulin came free, but Bayan Bonzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Archie Balabagan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Balabagan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecil Quiambaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Tol Paulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Bayan Bonzon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartoleme Mazmela during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes F.C. Cagayan Academy got a freekick which was hit by Bartoleme Mazmela. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
