The referee ignored Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s protests and gave Nicholas Macasa a yellow card for diving instead. Nicholas Macasa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Clarence Pumaren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Archie Balabagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jákup Szekeres was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Clarence Pumaren put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jákup Szekeres. After some careless play in the Feet Toes United defense, Archie Balabagan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jákup Szekeres. The Feet Toes United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jákup Szekeres should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Balabagan in the 31st minute of play forced Feet Toes United's goalkeeper Jákup Szekeres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jákup Szekeres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Macasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Archie Balabagan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Balabagan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Larrechi to make the kick off. Jákup Szekeres was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Clarence Pumaren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clarence Pumaren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jákup Szekeres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Balabagan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Archie Balabagan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kyoto Sanga F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. Mar Yulo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
