Ichwan Pane made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mergosono's Djati Akmal. 11 minutes into the match, Firdaus Simanungkalit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Fitriansyah. Airperiukan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Firdaus Simanungkalit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pandapotan Oktavianus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elie Haryanto, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Sinuraya during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joko Guci in the 17th minute of play forced Airperiukan's goalkeeper Reynaldo Fitriansyah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Airperiukan's Reynaldo Fitriansyah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lelo Hidayat in the 18th minute of play. Andre Sinuraya was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Andre Sinuraya hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Joko Guci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mergosono's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joko Guci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Firdaus Putiray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pandapotan Oktavianus was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lelo Hidayat during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Airperiukan booed when Mergosono was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lelo Hidayat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Fitriansyah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joko Guci in the 41st minute of the match. Reynaldo Fitriansyah came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Mergosono's Joko Guci. But to his dismay, Joko Guci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paijo Simamora who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Pandapotan Oktavianus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joko Guci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Joko Guci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Airperiukan's Reynaldo Fitriansyah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Airperiukan from getting a goal against them. Mergosono's Pandapotan Oktavianus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paijo Simamora in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Mergosono getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Uum Sipayung hit a great ball. Joko Guci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Fitriansyah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Micky Febrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Airperiukan got a freekick which was hit by Elie Haryanto. After a rather tough play, Mergosono's Lelo Hidayat got a free kick in the 86th minute. Firdaus Putiray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Pandapotan Oktavianus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mergosono's Pandapotan Oktavianus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firdaus Putiray in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firdaus Putiray in the 95th minute of play forced Mergosono's goalkeeper Pandapotan Oktavianus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mergosono's Joko Guci got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Paijo Simamora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Airperiukan's supporters rose to their feet, but Paijo Simamora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pandapotan Oktavianus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Mergosono could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Airperiukan throughout the match.
