In the 12th match minute, Maum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigit Eiboy to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Maum FC's goalkeeper Ade Simamora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hastomo Sembiring. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Maum FC. Haryanto Tarigan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Donny Reza. 0-1. After some careless play in the Sabah defense, Ferry Sitorus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donny Reza. The Sabah fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donny Reza should have stopped the shot. If Ferry Sitorus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Maum FC's Ade Simamora got control of the ball when Uum Ie tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Uum Ie came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sabah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uum Ie couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eboy Ginting during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Maum FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Haryanto Tarigan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sabah's Donny Reza. 0-3. Bongky Sitepu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferry Sitorus scored 0-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donny Reza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute Ferry Sitorus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferry Sitorus struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Donny Reza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maum FC. Donny Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joko Cahyono Putro in the 54th minute of the match. Donny Reza was a little too slow when Ferry Sitorus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-7. Ferry Sitorus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donny Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferry Sitorus in the 64th minute of the match. Donny Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joko Cahyono Putro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Donny Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Sitorus in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferry Sitorus in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donny Reza saved Sabah from getting behind. Ari Rai charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ari Rai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes, Sabah's Hastomo Sembiring shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ade Simamora came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sabah reached it. Sabah's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Ferry Sitorus scored to the left of an out of position Donny Reza, making the score, 0-8. 90 minutes into the match, Maum FC's Haryanto Tarigan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donny Reza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maum FC's Ade Simamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haryanto Hans in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uum Ie in the 93rd minute of play forced Maum FC's goalkeeper Ade Simamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joko Cahyono Putro in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donny Reza prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
