An unexpectedly hard shot by Kia Chaniago in the 16th minute of play forced The Blues's goalkeeper Lyudmil Balashev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PSS Tjitoedja's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hardy Pane in the 17th minute. It was a penalty for PSS Tjitoedja! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Kompos Febrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jojo Darwis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Kompos Febrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rexy Sitorus in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Rexy Sitorus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, The Blues's Rexy Sitorus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
