But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 洪森桦 couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, 中国足球小将's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after 洪森桦 fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as 邓霖松 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 陶明瑜. That made the score 2-2 in the 29 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 蒋义鸿 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 何广耀 hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 陶明瑜 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 何竞庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 69th match minute, 中国足球小将 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 许浩乐 to maneuver through the defense. 中国足球小将's 陶明瑜 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 邓霖松 in the 70th minute of play. 陶明瑜 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 何竞庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute, 何竞庭 made a precise shot to the right of 陶明瑜. 中国足球小将's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. 洪森桦 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute 洪森桦 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 陶明瑜 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. East London Irons's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
