Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Coolongolook's zone, Michael Merz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jared Porter came out of the goal and Michael Merz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coolongolook's Albert Dobbing got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Berny Burtt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Payton Schulzte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Michael Merz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jared Porter was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 14 played minutes Humevale got a freekick which was hit by Barth Smoothy. Berny Burtt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Payton Schulzte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Michael Merz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Humevale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Merz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coolongolook's Jared Porter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Merz in the 24th minute of play. Niles Todman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Coolongolook were awarded a corner. Remy Laycock went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 31st minute, Damon Starling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jared Porter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Berny Burtt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Damon Starling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humevale and the Coolongolook players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Humevale getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Damon Starling hit a great ball. A collision led to Coolongolook getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Merz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Michael Merz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Payton Schulzte came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Coolongolook's Albert Dobbing. But to his dismay, Albert Dobbing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Albert Dobbing struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Payton Schulzte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coolongolook. Berny Burtt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Payton Schulzte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Coolongolook's Berny Burtt in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Humevale's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute Michael Merz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Porter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Berny Burtt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Humevale's Payton Schulzte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Berny Burtt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coolongolook fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berny Burtt in the 83rd minute of play forced Humevale's goalkeeper Payton Schulzte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damon Starling might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jared Porter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damon Starling ran back to his position shaking his head. The Humevale players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Coolongolook from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
