In the 15th minute, Corey Anders made a precise shot to the right of Bryson Mcgirr. Weatherboard's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nelson Beattie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rick Paynter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Finden in the 19th minute of play forced Wallaroo's goalkeeper Rick Paynter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wallaroo's Corey Anders in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nelson Beattie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 48 minutes, Nelson Beattie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weatherboard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Beattie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Arne Jackson made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Arne Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryson Mcgirr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60thth minute of the game Arne Jackson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Weatherboard's Bryson Mcgirr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blade Greenbank hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Nelson Beattie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rick Paynter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corey Anders struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the Weatherboard defense, Corey Anders kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bryson Mcgirr. The Weatherboard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryson Mcgirr should have stopped the shot. Arne Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryson Mcgirr having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Corey Anders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallaroo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corey Anders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corey Anders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wallaroo played a much better game than Weatherboard and deserved their victory. The Weatherboard players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
